Jill’s Rudolph Brownies

A special festive twist to the classic chocolate brownie treat from @jillbakes_. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy this christmas!

you will need a baking tin, a heatproof bowl and a mixing bowl.

preheat the oven to 160°C

makes 8 brownies

Ingredients

  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 50g milk chocolate
  • 200g Dromona Butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 275g caster sugar
  • 95g plain flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • chocolate chips 100g or milk, dark and white chocolate

for the decoration:

  • plain or chocolate covered pretzel’s
  • 8 red or brown smarties
  •  16 edible eyes,  extra white chocolate
  • melted white chocolate to stick decorations

How It’s Done:

  1. Line a baking try with parchment paper.
  2. melt the butter milk, white and dark chocolate in a microwavable bowl fro 1-2 minutes. Leave to cool to room temperature.
  3. whisk together the eggs and caster sugar until the colour has turned pale, is mousse like and is double the original volume of mixture. when whisked pour the cooled chocolate mix over the eggs and fold in together.
  4. Once combined sift the cocoa powder and plain flour into the chocolate mixture and fold again. fold in the chocolate chips  and pour into the baking tin and bake for 24-28 minutes.
  5. once baked, leave to cool in the tin and then put them into the fridge overnight (for extra fudgy brownies)
  6. using a hot knife slice the brownies into 8 and decorate with the decorations, using melted chocolate to stick the decorations to the brownies.
