Hama’s Double Chocolate & Salted Caramel Cake

you will need a whisk a mixing bowl and two greased cake tins

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp Dromona butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tub salted caramel frosting

How It’s Done:

  1. Whisk the sugar, vanilla essence and eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Sift in the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt and mix.
  3. Add in the milk, Dromona butter and water and mix well.
  4. Pour into the greased baking tins. Bake for 35 minutes at 180°C.
  5. When done leave to cool, then cut each sponge in half to create 4 layers.
  6. Assemble the sponges with a layer of salted caramel frosting in between the layers. Cover the top of the cake with the frosting as you like, enjoy!
