You will need a shallow ovenproof pie dish
Preheat the oven to 180°C
For the apples:
5 eating apples (or you can use any)
50g caster sugar
1 tbsp water
1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
For the crumble:
100g plain flour
75g Dromona butter
50g rolled oats
100g sugar (Jill prefers a mixture of Demerara and caster but either will be fine)
Sprinkle of cold water
