Darragh’s Cheesy Pork & Apple Burgers

You seriously won’t believe how incredibly delicious these cheesy pork & apple burgers are!! Something different than your normal burger.

You will need a BBQ or a pan.

Ingredients

  • 500g pork mince (Darragh used 5% fat)
  • 150g cheddar
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

How It’s Done:

  1. Preheat your bbq or pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix with hands until completely incorporated.
  3. Divide the meat evenly into 4/5balls and flatten into round patties.
  4. Place on a plate and brush both sides of each patty with olive oil.
  5. Place the patties onto the rack. Cover and cook for 7 – 10 minutes on each side, until the temperature registers 75 degrees or above.
  6. Just before they burgers are cooked, add sliced cheddar and close the bbq lid until the cheese melts.
  7. Toast your buns and top with mayo, lettuce and onion. Place the burger on top and enjoy.
